Bob Stephenson
Senior Pastor

Pastor Bob is a native Virginian and joined the staff of Riverside in 2002. Having ministered full-time in Southern Baptist Churches since 1973, he has served in all staff and pastoral roles. This has given him a broad understanding of the needs and workings of the local New Testament church. In addition, he served for 18 years as a Children's Special Worker with the North Carolina Baptist State Convention leading training events across the state and has a passion for the needs of children. Pastor Bob is a graduate of Piedmont Baptist College and attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. In his spare time he enjoys model railroading.

Kevin VaLeu
Associate Pastor/Youth

Pastor Kevin has served Riverside since 1999 His primary focus is on ministry to youth in grades 7 through 12, the Kids Time Worship Feature held during the morning worship service, and the New Awana Program that will focus on 1 through 6 grade set to launch October 16, 2011.  Rev. VaLeu came to Riverside after graduating from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he received his Master of Divinity degree.

Phiet Nguyen
Vietnamese Pastor

Pastor Phiet has been working with the Vietnamese congregation at Riverside since 1998. Bible study is held in the Vietnamese language on Sunday mornings as well as worship services at 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM. On Wednesday nights another time of Bible study is provided in the Vietnamese language.

Susan Capps
Church Secretary

Susan provides valuable support ministry to the staff and the church daily as she provides the link between the church and those individuals needing ministry assistance.
