Senior Adults

Children's Ministry
The Junior Choir has been a long-standing and integral part of children’s ministry at Riverside. Begun nearly forty years ago many lives have been impacted by this ministry. First under the direction of Mrs. Bobbie Willets, and since 1984 led by Mrs. Linda Johnson, these boys and girls learn first hand about God’s love for them and the importance of ministry to others. With regular skate nights sponsored by Junior Choir, annual “Sleep Overs”, and a week long summer camp each year these children in grades 1-6 learn more than just music. They learn lessons for life. For more information, contact kids@rbch.org and youth@rbch.org.

- Mission Opportunities through…
- Children in Action (CiA) a missions education program for boys and girls in grades one though six. Through a series of manuals written for each grade level kids learn about missions, participate in mission projects and through a variety of other activities learn to view the world and missions as God sees it. Camping, sporting activities, first aid education and many other fun opportunities are provided for boys in this program to engage them in learning about the world around them and how they can carry the message of Christ around the world. Chapter meetings are held each Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM.
- Mission Friends is provided on Wednesday nights at 7:00 for boys and girls below the age of first grade. While their meetings are not as structured as are those of the older group, these young boys and girls likewise learn at a young age that Jesus not only loves them, but the entire world.

Begun in 1993 this team has ministered in a variety of ways and in many different places. In 1998 they took the name God Squad to identify their purpose of witnessing the love of God through drama, music, humor and personal testimony to people of all ages. They have traveled as far away as Alaska, Louisiana, West Virginia and even Jamaica to share the message of God’s love with folks in nursing homes, hospitals, churches, festivals, flea markets and campgrounds. Team members range in age from 10 to 18 along with several adult team coaches. For more information, contact puppets@rbch.org.
